“Sinta” in Tagalog is the original word for “love”. In the lab, each product is made with love and Filipino American heritage.
I love my Fil-Am community and I always want to find ways to rep my heritage, but I wanted to design something that I would want to use myself. It needed to be simple, something that I could maybe use often, and had meaning.
I’ve been doodling, designing, and experimenting with random things for almost two years now from photos of friends (@doodlesabb) to designing merch for FIND inc.’s, District One (shoutout to @d1find) that I thought I could really hone in on my talents and take a chance at trying something out like opening my own shop, especially as a young broke newly grad living in New York and I might as well put my business degree to good use. As my mom likes to put it, “anak, God gave you a talent, so don’t waste it!” And this is what came to fruition. Enjoy!
